To think I might not see those eyes
Makes it so hard not to cry
And as we say our long goodbye
I nearly do
Yin/Yang is a chinese concept that there are two opposing and yet complementary aspects to every situation. Essentially, in every light there is a little dark, and in every dark there is a little light.
In one way, this is good. It means that when things seem impossibly dark, there is a little hope left, a tiny part of goodness that keeps us going.
On the other hand, every good thing that happens is tinged with something bad, stopping it from being perfect. I guess, today, I just feel a bit angry that life is like this. Good, but bad. So bittersweet.
Have heart my dear
We're bound to be afraid
Even if it's just for a few days
Making up for all this mess

this maybe true but some moments can be perfect. just a golden moment in time. Carrying them through the dark is what brings light to it.
I fear though as life goes on we will carrmy more dark moments with us ever ready to spoil the light.
But on the other hand its nice, true happiness has no meaning if you dont know what sadness is. its meaningless. "The light has no meaning without the dark"
Bens view of life. Only in the darkest hours of teh day can you see the true beauty of the universe. the stars are always there, and if day lasted forever you would never know what it is your missing. i cant express it so well but i hope you get what i mean
Snow Patrol seem to have lyrics for all occasions :o)
Can't have one without the other else what would it be? To have the good we must have the bad to measure it against and recognise just what it is.
hugs xx
Very true, and logically I know I've always said just that...if you want the rainbow, you've got to put up with the rain. (Thank you, Dolly Parton!)
Was feeling a bit...hopeless and woe-is-me-the-whole-world-hates-me-ish.
