The mysterious life of a student

Yes. That's a red onion. Encapsulated in ice.

Does it need an explanation?

uh yes. an explanation of why in heavens name would you freeze an onion?!

I didn't. We cleaned the kitchen today and found it at the back of the fridge (things freeze when they touch the back). It's not mine and it's not Abbie's, so it belongs to one of the boys.

Lovely..

This says two things - that your fridge is suspect (like every other student fridge that I've come across) and that your male housemates don't eat enough veg (like, erm, every other male housemate that I've come across...).

But nice photo!

Haha. Brilliant.
We've had a pack of frozen spring onions, a frozen pepper (goes floppy believe it or not) and a few other random frozen things. I spilt a muller corner in there and the chocolate balls are still frozen at the back. That was done about six months ago! =/

Lovely picture, very arty.

No explanation needed, sometimes things just are!

Cool photo, I am glad of the explanation, also. :D

It just looked so cool. But...why does the fridge freeze things at the back, anyway?!

Because it is overworking to keep the rest of the fridge cool. I think. A working fridge would imply that you've got too much food in there or that the dial's set too high.

A student fridge, however, is probably just rubbish! I've yet to convince my housemates that salad should not be put at the back for that reason!

I guess the main problems with student fridges is that they're old, cheap, and over-full! Ah, I cannot wait till next year when I will have half a fridge to myself, as opposed to a single shelf this year!
